Liberty goat yogurt 2.7 - 14g of sugar ...where does the sugar come from? Very salty. Don't think I'll buy it again. Use to love this product.

Your natural yogurt contains inulin. Could you tell me where it comes from? Is it from wheat or from chicory? I am gluten intolerant and need to know if iI am eating wheat with your yogurt or it is safe. I really like it and think that it is a great product. Thanks. Eva

Your new yogurt reformulation is cross-contaminated with milk product from cows. Your labeling, by law, needs to reflect the presence of allergens in your product. I am reporting you to Health Canada about your lack of labeling and will be warning others that your products are contaminated with allergens. Also, it would be nice if your site stopped censoring people.

Your new goat yogurt reformulation is cross contaminated with cow's milk product. It is unsafe for anyone with milk allergies. Your old formulation did not have this problem. I have been getting severe abdominal bloating, constipation, and nausea with this new formula that I did not experience with the Greek formulation. Shame on you for degrading your product to something inedible. Will definitely NOT be buying more and will be warning all of my friends about this product.

This is to warn your customers of the "new" and really awful upgrade you did to your once fabulous yogurt. I believe there is cross-contamination with cow's milk or milk proteins either in the powdered product you add or in the bacterial cultures which may have initially been cultivated in cow's milk. Either way, I am getting bloating, abdominal pain, and nausea with this new yogurt. I never get any of these symptoms with goat milk products. WARNING: IF YOU HAVE ALLERGIES TO COW DAIRY, THIS NEW YOGURT MAY MAKE YOU VERY SICK!! I will never purchase this product again as it makes me sick for days!!

I don't know what you did to your reformulation of your goat milk yogurt, but your new product is causing me nothing but abdominal distress whenever I eat it. I will not be purchasing your product in the future. You took a superior product and altered it so much that it is inedible.

Hi Alexandria, We would like to thank you for taking the time to share with us your comments on our goat yogurt. As you did notice, many changes did occur recently on this brand. Even with a new packaging design and updated nutrition facts, we are reassuring you that the list of ingredients is remaining as simple as before. The process has also been modified, our goat yogurts are now offer in a new set style version. An incubation process in container, which creates a typical set texture, different from a traditional or a greek yogurt. We regret that you don’t appreciate the new changes and we apologize for any inconvenience you experienced and appreciate the opportunity to reply to your concerns. No longer buy it since you started using powdered milk. Will ask my local Wholefoods and other stores to provide a goat yoghurt instead of mass produced powdered milk over sugared (from powder) glop. Or perhaps it will be easier to make goat yoghurt at home. Don't buy Hewitt for same reason. Love buffalo milk yoghurt and Baa Sheep yoghurt but prefer goat when I can get the real deal.. Your megacorp has insulted consumers by destroying an otherswise acceptable product. Farewell.

Hi Mimi, Thanks for your comment. Liberté does not add gelatine to its yogurts. Instead, we add skim milk powder and milk protein concentrate for creamy and delicious products that are high in protein. Skim milk powder and milk protein concentrate undergo few transformations. The milk used to make them meets the same standards as the milk we use in our yogurts. The filtration and low-temperature drying processes to make the powders preserve all of the original goodness of the milk’s proteins and minerals.

I agree with Alexandria's post from Feb 4. The new formula is much worse (for 2.7%). What was great about your old formula was the amount of fibre and low sugar content. You reduced the amount of fibre from 5g to 2g (which i know isn't much but its still less). And went from 3g sugar to 14g. I really hope you consider reducing the amount of sugar at least! Plus there is more sodium! I have cow dairy allergies so this was a great alternative product, although is hard to find or always sold out. Very disappointing.

I hope you fix the saltiness of the goat's milk yogurt soon. I can't have cow's milk and I was really excited when I saw there was goat available. Didn't even help to add vanilla and fruit. I read goat's milk tastes salty if they have mastitis?

I have a cow milk allergy (casein protein) and have been purchasing LIberte goat yoghurt (and milk) for several years and have really enjoyed it. It also has seemed to help with my heartburn. That is no longer true - the latest one has a different consistency, tastes different and doesn't help with my heartburn. Is it no longer a live culture?

Hello, I used to love your previous goat milk yogurt formula - have enjoyed it for over 5 years! I must admit the new version is nowhere near as good... and I see a few other comments like mine. Would you consider bringing the original back? It had a wonderful, creamy texture, never separating the way the new one does. I used to look forward to every new container - and they weren't easy to find. I've been drinking your goat milk, too, and that's been consistently good, so please don't change it! Many thanks.

This was my first time purchasing goat milk yogurt and I found the 2% one unbearably salty. I assumed this was what all goat yogurt would taste like and that I just didn't like it until I found this forum. I will switch to another brand next time to see if I like it better. It looks like whatever you did to the formulation recently was an epic fail.

I have been using Liberte Goat Yogurt for over a year now. From reading here I understand you have had a change in process. Can you tell me why this process alters the flavour so much? The first two, new process, containers I purchased I returned because they really were unpleasant, unpalatable and very, very, salty. I made another purchase a week later. The taste from this tub is not so unpleasant but it is much changed from the original and very hard to get used to. Also the first thing I taste is salt. Has the amount added been increased? It does not improve the flavour at all.

You recently changed the formulation of your goat yogurt.....for the worse. I am sure you did it to save money, but what once was a superior product is now glop that separates out, goes lumpy, and lacks the creaminess and great taste of the original. Why on earth would you use powdered goat's milk in your yogurt? Pity you sacrificed quality for the bottom line.

When I first tasted yogurt in Greece, I thought no one can make yogurt like this. I was told its unique taste was because it was made with goat's milk. Finally decades later I have found that wonderful taste again in your product. It took me right back Greece! Just opening your container I could see the difference from other yogurts. From Vancouver Island, Merci to your company, to the farmers that raise the goats and provide you with the milk, and of course to the goats.
