Plain Greek Yogurt 0%

A type of yogurt crafted using traditional Greek methods. A yogurt drained according to the principles of old-time cheesecloth draining, which gives it an incredibly rich and creamy texture and one that’s absolutely free of fat. As surprising as it is delicious.

Requiring  three times more milk than a regular yogurt, Greek yogurt also contains twice the protein of any other regular yogurt. It’s an excellent source of energy and the perfect choice for a low-fat diet.

Here is a comparative chart on greek yogurts:

A source of pride for our artisans. Fresh skim milk and bacterial culture, pure and simple. Yogurt in its most uncomplicated form. This yogurt contains 18g of proteins per portion of 175g.

It can be eaten as is or with fruit. The Greeks typically eat it with honey and nuts, but it’s also used in cooking. The latest food trend for chefs in the know!

Hi! I have a two year old who sometimes eats well and sometimes doesn't and she's not fond of eating meat, I've read that greek yogurt is high in protein, but I noticed the ones in costco its 0% fat, but i need to give her some fat as she is still young, do you have anything like the ones with 3.25%? thank you. looking forward to hear from you.

Liberté From Liberté

Sorry, our greek yogurt is 0 % fat, we do not have one with a higher level of fat. I would suggest to add to this product a part of our Mediterrannee yogurt plain containing 10 % M. F., you would create the best meal for your child. Regards.

Hi. Can you please confirm that the plain non fat Greek yogurt has active live cultures?
It doesn't say on the ingredient list.
Thank you.

Liberté From Liberté

Dear Bethany, as soon as you see probiotics on the containers, it means that there is active live cultures of bacterias in an amount of 1 billion per portion. Hopefully it answers your question. Have a good day.

Radoslav From Radoslav

I just bought your 0% greek yogourt from Costco. On the packaging are listed only two ingredients: skim milk and bacterial cultures. How is it possible to make the yogourt so thick and creamy without any other ingerdients? Are there any that are not listed like starch which I think I am tasting when eating?

Liberté From Liberté

The greek yogurt is strained. We retreive a big part of the lactosérum. The protein called caseine remains mainly in the yogurt. To make one liter of greek yogurt, we need to use 3 liters milk. Hopefully this is helpfull.

I eat it often! Love it! Buy the plain one and add stevia to it MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!

Liberté From Liberté

Thank you for your comment! Enjoy !

Liberté From Liberté

Sorry we don't have any coupon available, but you can check the rebates on the flyers, you will be able to try the greek yogurt with flavours. Have a good day !

I love your greek yogurt and have just returned from Florida and am wondering why its so much cheaper to buy it there than here in Toronto. as it is made here in canada and imported to the USA

Liberté From Liberté

Hello Mrs Negin,
There is a price difference between products in the U.S. and the price of products in Canada. The reason is simple. Yogurt sold in U.S. are made with milk from U.S. and it's less expensive then Canadian milk. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

Barbara From Barbara

Your 0% fat Greek yogurt is thick and delicious. However, I noticed a grainyness in the yogurt when I tasted it. Can you tell me what that is? If it is cornstarch or some other starch, it should be listed on the label.

Liberté From Liberté

The grainyness is a result of the liquid retreived from the product. The proteins are making the thickness of the product. hopefully it helps.

I need to calculate my calcium in food intake each day and supplement with calcium carbonate capsules if I am short. Your nutrition label for calcium just says 15%. 15% of what? The other ingredients are listed as grams per 3/4 cup. I need the calcium information as grams, or mgs. Thank you.

Liberté From Liberté

We base our calculation on a daily intake of 1100 mg. 15 5 equals 165 g for a portion of 175 g of yogurt.

Hi!
I am pregnant and making sure you eat the right products is always a challenge. Recently I bought several of your dairy products but it doesn't say they are made from pasteurized milk which is a must for pregnant women. I was under the assumption all of your products are pasteurized so can you please clarify?
Thanks

Liberté From Liberté

You are right, all of our product are pasterized before to add the lactics bacterias. Have a good day!

Dora From Dora

Does Liberte Yogurt contain L. Bulgaricus?

Liberté From Liberté

Yes, all of our products contains that bacteria. Hopefully it answers your question. Have a good day.

Rhonda From Rhonda

Yes, thank you, I was talking about the greek yogurt because one of the ingredients is skim milk. Thanks!!

Liberté From Liberté

Thank you for your comment ! Have a good day !

Rhonda From Rhonda

Quick question about the carb count. It says 6, 1 of fibre and 5 of sugar. But I read online that skim milk contains more carbs because of the naturally occurring sugar from lactose-12.3 g of carbs in one cup of skim milk. This shows on the PC brand nutrition label (they say 12g of carbs with 1g of fibre and 2g of sugar - difference is lactose). Can you tell me if you've factored that in? Thanks

Liberté From Liberté

Thank you for your question, you are talking about greek yogurt and not skim milk ? We will answer you as soon as possible.

I'm concerned about the calcium level in your yogurt. Why is Liberte 15% of Daily Requirement but some others are 50% yet calcium has not been added?

Liberté From Liberté

We don't know what is the process of fabrication for our concurrents. But our analysis on our product gives us that amount of calcium. Regards.

Oui le yogourt grec nature est introuvable depuis quelques temps a montreal...Je me demandais même s'il n'était pas discontinué! Dans combien de temps peut-on espérer le retrouver?

Liberté From Liberté

Liberté From Liberté

Merci de votre commentaires. Nous tentons de produire le nombre de produits suffisants pour répondre à la demande, mais il se peut qu'il y ait des manques en ce moment.

Ronnie From Ronnie

Hi! I Was Doing Some Research And Found Out Your Liberte Organic Plain Greek Yogurt Is Pasteurized. This Process Apparently Destroys All The Good "Live Bacteria" Which I've Found Upsetting.
is This True, And If So What Are The Reasons Behind This?
Thank You For Your Time!

Liberté From Liberté

Hello Ronnie, the pasterization is made before we add the good bacterias. We certify that our product contains at least 1 billion of probiotics before the expiry date. Don't hesitate to contact us if you have more questions.

Katie From Katie

Was wondering if you are planning on making the Plain greek yogurt into individual packs (like you have for the flavoured ones)?

Liberté From Liberté

Thank you for the suggestion, it will be communicated to our managers. Have a good day !

What are your best products for type 2 diabetics?

Liberté From Liberté

The best one should be the plain yogourt 2 % fat or less. You can add the fruits that are allowed in your diet.

Cory From Cory

Is this made with cow milk or goat milk?

Liberté From Liberté

Our Greek yogurt is made with cow milk 0 % fat, but we have a greek style yogurt made with goat milk 10 % fat. Hopefully this answer your question.

Melissa From Melissa

was just wondering if your greek yogurt is pasteurized? i was interested in feeding it to my 11month old because he's not big on meat and your yogart is so high in protein?

Liberté From Liberté

Under Health Canada’s Food and Drug Regulations, all of our products must be pasteurized.

Sim From Sim

I just wanted to say the yogurt taste amazing,
I love the taste and was wondering if I would be abule to find any in Canada which are made with sheep milk
ty :)

Liberté From Liberté

Thank you for your suggestion. As far as we know, it is difficult to find farms that raises sheep for the milk. We are lucky to have goat milk product. Have a good day !

Jenika From Jenika

Why does the ingredient list say bacterial culture and not "active" bacterial culture like some other yogurt brands? Is there a difference? Thank you.

Liberté From Liberté

On the container to put the label probiotics means that we certify that actives bacterias will be alive until the expiry date of the product. Hopefully, it answers your question.

Robbin From Robbin

I love your plain greek yogurt 0% m.f. I assume it is gluten free, but just wanted to double check. Thank you.

Liberté From Liberté

Jon From Jon

Do you have stats on the amount of a probiotics in your yogurt, i.e. the CFU for Bifidobacterium lactis & Lactobacillus acidophilus?

Liberté From Liberté

Hello Jon, We certify the amount of probiotics annonced on the container untill the expiry date written on the cover. Have a good day!

When I was in Australia I fell in love with Greek yogurt, it's almost all they seem to eat there. When I came back I found out that Liberte was is the only one that makes it here. I love this yogurt and as a future RD will recommend it to many clients :)

Coeur à la crème with Greek yogurt

Here it’s a classic French dessert – Coeur à la crème - typically made with cream cheese, mascarpone, cream and a little powdered sugar.  By substituting 0% Plain Greek Yogurt for the mascarpone, you end up with a much lighter dessert with a smoother texture and all the flavour of the original.  You can use any fruit coulis, sauce or even jam that you like. Or, you know, if you're feeling decadent, you can always serve it with a hot chocolate sauce, or even caramel.  It's a very versatile dessert in terms of toppings and because it is so plain and not too sweet, you can dress it up or down as you please.
