New York style Cheesecake Smoothie
By Hubert Cormier, nutritioniste
If you're just like me, you love desserts! I admit, I have a sweet tooth, but I won’t eat cakes, pies, puddings or crème brûlée every day. It’ll be interesting if we could recreate these flavours, but in a healthy way to get all vitamins and minerals. A challenge to me would you say, but with this smoothie recipe imitating perfectly New-York style cheesecake’s taste, your taste buds won’t notice a thing.
First, the fact of using Greek yogurt containing 0% M.F., skim milk and light cream cheese will give you a rich in protein and calcium smoothie, while limiting fat intakes. To recall the essential flavours of New-York style cheesecake, adding Graham crumbs will help you recreate that unique taste, while strawberries will add a touch of sugar, vitamins and colors. The addition of wheat germ to the recipe provides you with phytosterols, known to lower cholesterol.
This smoothie can be eaten as a snack after sports or even served in small shot glasses to add an original touch and impress your guests for sure.
Recipe

Serve chilled in a tall glass (or in small shot glasses for dessert option)
Feast!
* You may share your smoothie if it’s too big, or keep it in your fridge for 24 hours.
